The short version: LoanIQ MLO does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, and no access to your information.
LoanIQ MLO ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application designed to help mortgage loan officers track NMLS continuing education (CE) hours. The app is operated independently and is not affiliated with NMLS, the CFPB, or any state mortgage licensing regulator.

All data you enter in LoanIQ MLO — including your name, NMLS ID, state license information, CE course records, and certificate images — is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data:
When you attach a certificate photo to a CE entry, the image is copied to your device's local documents directory. This image is stored on your device only and is never transmitted elsewhere. You can remove a certificate at any time by editing the CE entry.
LoanIQ MLO can send local push notifications to remind you of the December 31 NMLS renewal deadline. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings or within the app.
LoanIQ MLO offers an optional annual subscription ("LoanIQ MLO Pro") processed exclusively through Apple's App Store. We do not handle any payment information. Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

LoanIQ MLO does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-sharing services. The only third-party system the app interacts with is Apple's App Store for in-app purchase processing, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
LoanIQ MLO includes pre-loaded NMLS CE requirement data (hours, categories, deadlines) based on publicly available information from NMLS and state licensing regulators. This data is included in the app itself and updated periodically via a secure, anonymous request to retrieve updated requirement tables. No personal information is sent during this update — it is equivalent to loading a web page.
LoanIQ MLO is designed for licensed mortgage professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app requires a valid NMLS ID to function, which is only issued to licensed adults.
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your iPhone's built-in protections — including device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and iOS encryption. We strongly recommend keeping your iPhone's iOS software up to date and enabling a device passcode.
Since we do not collect or store any of your personal data, there is no data held by us for you to access, correct, or delete. All your data is on your device and fully under your control. You can delete all app data at any time using Settings → Data → Delete all data within the app, or by uninstalling the app.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Continued use of LoanIQ MLO after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
