When you first open LoanIQ MLO, the onboarding walks you through it: select your state, enter your NMLS ID, and optionally add your state license number. Your CE requirements — total hours, federal categories, and the December 31 deadline — are loaded automatically. The whole setup takes under 2 minutes.
Tap the + button on the History tab or the "Log CE Hours" button on your dashboard. Enter the course name, provider, number of hours, completion date, and category. You can also attach a photo of your certificate. Tap Save and your progress updates instantly.
When logging or editing a CE entry, tap the "Attach certificate" area and select a photo from your library. The image is saved permanently to your device — it won't disappear after closing the app. You can view it anytime from the History tab and share it directly to email or AirDrop from the certificate viewer.
Your NMLS renewal cycle runs January 1 – December 31 each year. If a course completion date falls outside that window, it won't count toward your current year's total. The entry is still saved to your records for reference — it just shows a warning so you know it isn't counted in your progress.
Under the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act, MLOs cannot count the same NMLS-approved course toward CE requirements in consecutive years. If you enter an NMLS Course ID that matches a course completed in the prior year, LoanIQ MLO will show a warning. You can still save the entry, but be aware it may not count toward your NMLS renewal.
Yes. When you open the app on or after January 1, your license cycle automatically rolls over to the new year. Your previous year's CE entries are preserved for reference in the History tab — filter by year to see them. Your new cycle starts fresh so you can track progress toward the new December 31 deadline.
Go to the Settings tab and toggle on "NMLS deadline reminders." You'll be prompted to allow notifications if you haven't already. Once enabled, LoanIQ MLO schedules reminders at 90, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 day before December 31. All notifications are local — no internet connection required.
Subscription & Billing
The free version includes everything you need to manage one state license: track unlimited CE hours, monitor progress by category (including federal requirements), attach certificates, receive December 31 deadline reminders, and search your full CE history. It's free forever with no time limit.
Pro unlocks: unlimited state licenses (track multiple states side by side), PDF compliance report generation (one-tap broker-ready PDF with your full course history), data backup and restore, and all future features at no extra cost.
When you start a Pro trial, you get full access to all Pro features for 14 days at no charge. Your Apple ID is not billed until the trial ends. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will not be charged. After the trial, Pro is $39.99/year, billed annually.
Cancel anytime through iPhone Settings: tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → LoanIQ MLO → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for unused time, in line with Apple's standard policy.
Go to Settings in LoanIQ MLO and tap "Restore purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your Pro status will be restored automatically. If it doesn't work, contact us at support@loaniqmlo.shop.
Yes. Because the subscription is managed by Apple, it's tied to your Apple ID — not a single device. Sign in with the same Apple ID on any iPhone and tap "Restore purchases" in Settings to activate Pro.
Data & Privacy
All data — licenses, CE entries, and certificates — is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is transmitted to any server. We have no access to your information. If you have iCloud Backup enabled for LoanIQ MLO in your iPhone Settings, Apple will include your data in your encrypted iCloud backup.
Go to Settings → Data → Backup data. This exports all your licenses and CE entries as a JSON file that you can save to Files, iCloud Drive, or share via email. To restore on a new device, use Settings → Data → Restore from backup and select your backup file. Note: certificate images need to be re-attached manually after restoring to a new device.
Deleting the app removes all locally stored data from your device. We recommend creating a backup first using Settings → Data → Backup data. If you had iCloud Backup enabled, your data may be recoverable by reinstalling the app — iOS will prompt to restore from your iCloud backup.
No. LoanIQ MLO is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NMLS, the CFPB, or any state mortgage licensing regulator. Always verify your CE requirements directly with your state licensing authority before submitting your renewal.
